Soft orange-apricot flowers Jun-Jul, fine silvery-grey leaves, 10cm. Nothing I can do seems to suit this. (Plant thriving). Bobs Score=1.0

SENECIO CANNABINIFOLIUS

Described as a foliage plant but it isn't at all good, 2m, yellow flowers Jul-Aug. Japan. Like rampant ragwort. (Died - unknown reasons). Bobs Score=2.5

SENECIO DORIA

Large broad green paddle shaped leaves, flat heads yellow flowers Jul-Aug, 1.5m. Easy. (Destroyed - not good enough). Bobs Score=5.0

SENECIO DORONICUM

Orange-yellow flowers Jun-Aug, grey foliage, compact 25cm. Best in NON-acid soils. (Destroyed - not good enough). Bobs Score=4.0

SENECIO DREGEANUS

Each flower has a swirl of narrow purple ray petals around a large orange-red middle, in large branched heads Aug-Oct, 60cm. (Died - unknown reasons).

SENECIO EREMOPHILUS var.KINGII NNS 99-460

Yellow flowers from dark maroon stems, green pinnately lobed foliage, bushy 35cm. Seed collected 11300 feet altitude, Tushar Mtns, Beaver Co, UT. (Plant thriving).

SENECIO FISTULOSUS

Weedy looking yellow flowers Jun-Jul, from cobwebby leaves, 45cm, mollusc food. (Plant thriving). Bobs Score=3.0

SENECIO GLASTIFOLIUS

Tender, purple daisies on a leafy plant, 85cm. Easy but requires covering and/or cuttings overwinter. (Died - unknown reasons). Bobs Score=5.0

SENECIO 'GOLDPLATE'

= S.doria which see. Flat heads of yellow ragwort-like flowers Jul-Aug, saw-edged foliage 2m. Seed from Plantworld originally collected at 2000 feet altitude near Osorno, Chile. (Plant thriving). Bobs Score=4.0

SENECIO MACROSPERMUS form 1

Rosettes of grey leaves, large heads of yellow flowers. High altitude collected SA seed. Loved by snails. Not rhizomatous and monocarpic - apparently. (Died again!). Bobs Score=5.0

SENECIO MACROSPERMUS form 2

Disappointing yellow hawkweed-like flowers on rosettes of broad blunt-tipped linear silvery-grey leaves, leaves 25cm. From the high Drakensberg Mountains, Mokhotlong, Lesotho. (Plant thriving).

SENECIO POLYODON

Purple dasies with purple middles Jun-Jul and Sep-Oct, 30cm. Fairly hardy and self-seeds but not long-lived. (Died - unknown reasons). Bobs Score=7.5

SENECIO PULCHER

Large sturdy yellow centred magenta daisies that would look at home in an Indian brothel (not that I'd know). Very welcome in their season which is Aug-Nov and again in the early spring with luck, 20cm. Protected site for the late flowers. (Alive, but not in the best of health). Bobs Score=8.0

SENECIO RUDBECKIFOLIA? RCB RA-P 25

Bushy perennial, cut bluish green foliage, dark red stems, yellow ragwort flowers Jun-Sep, 85cm. Seed collected Quebrada del Toro, Campo Quijano, Salta province, Argentina. (Just acquired).

SENECIO SCAPOSUS

Silver-green hardy succulent plant from high altitude, starry silvery-yellow flowers Jul-Aug, 15cm. Sunny. SA. (Plant thriving).

SENECIO SEMINIVEUS

Soft greyish evergreen foliage on a small shrub to 1m. Sprays of ordinary yellow ragwort flowers but NOV-JAN. Banished - too big and not good enough. (Destroyed - not good enough). Bobs Score=4.0

Heads of large white daisy flowers Jun-Jul, impressive leaves, 1m. Moisture. Falkland Islands. (Plant thriving). Bobs Score=6.0
